A healthy rule of thumb is to drink 1/2 to 2/3 your body weight in ounces daily of hydrating fluids, primarily water.
HEALTHY AND HYDRATING FLUIDS INCLUDE:
Water – drink room temperature, warm or hot. Limit ice cold water. Add fresh lemon or lime to your water.
Herbal Teas – not caffeinated
Mineral Water – Mineral water with flavored Stevia is a nice alternative to wean off of soda
Not included in Hydrating fluids are:
Fruit juices, pop, soda, coffee, caffeinated teas or beverages, energy drinks, Gatorades or other colored sports drinks, Propels or other enhanced waters, dairy or soy based smoothies or shakes, wine, beer and other alcoholic drinks.
